Guernsey Bailiwick Gendec example

The UK introduced the requirement for ETA's (electronic travel authorisation) for EU and other nationalities from April 2025.  From 25th February this scheme will end its transition period and will be enforced. For Private/General aviation this will mean 'no permission=no travel'    OnlineGAR.com has been working towards this by creating a new app 'MyGar' which will return the appropriate 'permission to travel' notice.   This will not be available from the OnlineGAR.com. UK Gars can still be submitted through that web site if you are certain that your crew/pax are exempt from ETA's. However it will soon be closed and all users encouraged to move to using the app's. Web submission will eventually not be possible. This site 'MYGAR.net' is not a web portal for submission ore receiving approval but explains how the apps work and provides a channel to download and install the app.

In this transition period the site is under maintenance and those full services will not be available for a number of days   20 Dec 2025   but we expect to be live shortly in the new year

There are some things to know about the MyGar.net project first. 

  1. GARs and declarations are created by Apps which need installing first, They are not created  through this site.
  2. the MyGar.net website is NOT a portal for entering GAR's - it simply makes available the mobile and desktop apps
  3. the process of submitting a GAR or creating a declaration is done within the apps 
  4. the apps go by various names PPRpal.online or Manifest6- thats an accident of evolution - this will change in time under the one domain Mygar.net
  5. the website gives instructions for the use of the apps and how to install them - again to emphasise it is NOT the means to create or submit GAR's unlike OnlineGAR
  6. The difference between the MyGar.net project and OnlineGAR is that MyGar.net does not attempt to provide the means of composing a declaration nor does it provide a private cloud service for storage. All the work is done on your own device with the app. Therefore you have to install the app first. Use this site to do just that with the following steps
    • register as a member on this site
    • log in on this site
    • you can now see the download page (under 'how it works' ) select your preferred platform 
      • Windows,Mac,iPhone/iPad,Android
    • Once installed open and put your member credentials in the settings page of the app- after which there is no more logging on, nor do you need the website
  7. the apps (on each platform)  are in trial . They will send a UK Border Force Gar to a UKBF test server to simulate  real world but this only functions during office hours. They will create pdfs for France,Belgium, Channel Islands, IoM and Ireland - these are ready to use and the apps assist with the emailing
 
PPRPal or Manifest6 is a a helper app for creating cross border private aviation declarations. It has grown out of OnlineGar.com which has served the General Aviation community for over a decade. The OnlineGar.com website will soon cease as a portal for submitting GARs - Manifest6/PPRpal will take over and offer more features for free.  We apologise for numerous names - the mobile apps started out life as Manifest6 whereas the website was PPRPal.online or MyGAr.net. It is somewhat difficult to change all the entries on the various 'app stores' but we will get there !!

The apps are currently in trial mode and are not 'live' with UK Border Force yet. You can download and test both the desktop apps and the mobile apps - create a membership for yourself on this site then click on the download page. Currently to test the Apple Mac or iPhone/iPad apps you will have to submit your device UDID to us and hence Apple to receive an invitation to test (sorry - their rules!) The Mac and Ios(ipad/iPhone apps are now available on the AppStore  a direct link is now available on the downloads page.  You can now download the windows app from the windows store and install the android app via direct download (special arrangements apply - see notes on download page)
